Evaporative cooling is ideal for any large area as the installation and running costs are a fraction of traditional refrigerant based air conditioning.

This makes cooling of areas like sports halls, warehouses and manufacturing facilities much more economical.

Installation is relatively simple. The evaporative cooler itself is placed outside the building to be cooled, either on the floor, wall or roof-mounted. A hole is made through the external wall or roof and the air fed into the area to be cooled via duct work.

An evaporative cooler works by drawing air through continually wetted pads that surround the unit. The evaporation of the moisture into the air reduces its temperature, whilst the process also filters it, removing 98% of airbourne contaminants.

Chilled, purified air is then ducted into the building and either released near to the entry point or evenly distributed around the area by canvas or sheet metal ducting.

Creating a positive pressure inside the building with the introduction of cool, clean, fresh air has great benefits. No active extraction of internal air is required. All that is necessary is to leave open windows or doors to allow the air to flow through the premises, thus maintaining a good level of humidity within the building.
