Installation of air conditioning systems
Split air conditioning systems incorporate refrigerant gases and therefore need to be professionally installed. Some systems, do offer flexible, pre-gased hoses with quick fit connectors. These allow installation by a competent DIYer and therefore can help reduce cost of a wall-mounted air conditioning system. However, any ac system requiring copper piping and flange connections must be installed by a trained and qualified contractor otherwise illegal refrigerant leakage and severe accidents can occur.
