As the units cool by drawing air through continually wetted pads, the maximum cooling capacity of an evaporative cooler depends on the temperature of the air being drawn into the unit. However, as the UK’s climate rarely reaches more than 33oC, even in the hottest of summers, it could still provide air at 20oC, making it the ideal, economic alternative to costly air conditioning. Buildings which employ fixed evaporative coolers, either directly outside or on the roof, also have the added benefit of ventilation, as fresh air is drawn into the building.

The mobile Met Mann evaporative coolers are a great way of providing a temporary cooling solution for the summer months. A single unit can provide up to 30kW of traditional cooling for under 1kW of electrical power. The units are easy to move around, can be connected to a thermostat for automatic control and incorporate auto-drain hygiene features.

These mobile units need to be operated in situations with a good level of ventilation in order to maintain a level of humidity which will allow the water to evaporate. This means they are ideal for industrial units, warehouses, factories and any other premises that have doors or windows open.

The Met Mann range includes fixed external units with outputs from 2,500m3/h to 63,000m3/h for areas up to 3,500m3 and mobile internal units with outputs from 2,500m3/h to 12,000m3/h for areas up to 625m3. Multiple units can be used to accommodate all sized applications.
