The Marta air purifier and room ventilation unit from JS Air Conditioners will draw fresh air in from outside, purify and heat it before releasing it into a room. This innovative new system is ideal for houses or offices where opening the windows to provide ventilation is not possible or desirable due to traffic or noise pollution.

It is also ideal for allergy sufferers as it introduces fresh air into a room without allowing in pollen, dust and other allergens.

The Marta is for use in rooms up to 45m2. A 125mm hole is drilled through the wall and the Marta is attached over the inside of the hole with screws. The unit draws air in from outside and filters it initially with a carbon filter to remove odours and gases like SO2, NOx, benzene, diesel and ammonia. Then an F9 class filter captures up to 99.9% of particulate matter, including ash, dust, pollen, seeds, soot and tobacco smoke. This will significantly reduce the amount of pollutants being introduced to a room and has great benefits for people with respiratory problems and allergies.

When used in cool months an internal 800W heater can be activated that tempers the incoming air so that it does not lower the internal temperature of a room. During warm months this function can be turned off.

The air from the room is also recirculated through the Marta in order to continually filter and maintain its quality. A lever on the side of the unit will regulate how much air is drawn from the room and how much fresh air from outside. If ventilation is not required at all, the external air inlet can be totally shut. When the external air inlet is closed the Marta will continue to circulate, purify and, if required, heat the air already in the room.

Three fan speeds will provide 40, 80 and 120m3/h of fresh air to a room. On its lowest setting the Marta is very quiet at just 22.3dB(A), making it ideal for lounges and bedrooms.

The unit is compact in size at just 352mm by 352mm and 143mm deep. Its outer plastic cover sits on durable sheet steel internal casing ensuring a long operating life.
