Aventis heat recovery & ventilation unit

Building insulation and sealed windows eliminate heat loses but they also prevent natural ventilation. This causes increased levels of carbon dioxide and humidity to build up promoting an unhealthy internal environment.

The Aventis heat recovery and ventilation unit will draw air in from outside to ventilate a premises, transfer heat to it from warm polluted air that is being extracted from the premises, thus reducing the need to heat the incoming fresh air to a minimum.

It does this, without mixing the outgoing polluted air with the incoming fresh air, and acheives up to 90% retention of heat from the air that is being extracted. Even on full fan speed the Aventis can retain 80%, which is much higher than competitive units. This can provide huge savings on energy bills by reducing the amount of energy used to heat an area.
 Three versions
The Aventis is supplied in two sizes (see table below), each with three basic verisons:

H0 - without air quality sensor
The regulation system controls the unit in a semi-automatic mode. Air flow is constant and depends on the user's setting. The time regimes of free cooling, recuperator defrosting, etc. are operated manually.

H1 - with CO2 concentration sensor
Air flow is controlled automatically in dependence on CO2 concentration ranging from 400-2000ppm. The time regimes of free cooling, recuperator defrosting, etc. are operated manually.

H2 - with air relative humidity sensor
Air flow is controlled automatically in dependence on relative humidity ranging from 30-100%. The time regimes of free cooling, recuperator defrosting, etc. are operated manually.

  • The system

The Aventis is a compact unit with a self-supporting casing of galvanized steel. The casing insulation is 10mm thick. The unit is eqipped with radial fans with economic EC motors.

On fresh and polluted air inlets, the unit is provided with G4 plate filters. A hexagonal recuperator providing up to 90% efficiency is used for heat recuperation. This includes an automatic condensate pumping system and an electric pre-heater against freezing.
    Fully automatic operation

The Aventis is fully automatic and can be regulated in accordance to desired temperature, CO2 concentration or humidity.

Control is via a remote multi-language control and the unit also has an integrated time switch.

Installation into a suspended ceiling system is made easy as the unit is only 360mm high and it has plug & play connections.
